Jason Ryan, M.D., M.P.H.

  • Recently presented research about how drug eluting stents (DES) have affected clinical outcomes and health care costs. According to the research, clinical outcomes have improved and health care costs have decreased by an average of $1,600 per patient since the introduction of DES. The study used data from the Medicare Standard Analytic File between 2001 and 2004. Dr. Ryan presented the study at a recent Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) meeting; his data was published in the TCT Post Issue report. See article (PDF) >

  • Recently became the only vascular expert in Connecticut to be named to the Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD) Society's network of providers. This recognition goes to physicians who have demonstrated expertise in the care of patients with FMD, a condition that causes a decrease in blood flow to renal arteries, the carotid artery and less commonly, arteries in the abdomen.
