Cardiac Care at UConn
Breakthrough care for today . . .
advancing cures for tomorrow.
At the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center, our mission is to
provide excellence in patient services, research and education.
UConn physicians and researchers work together to develop new
therapies and approaches to both the prevention and treatment of
heart and blood vessel diseases.
Working in close collaboration, cardiologists from UConn’s
John Dempsey Hospital and other area hospitals offer Health
Center patients the expertise of one of the most highly
experienced groups of cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons
in the country.
Services include evaluation and treatment for patients
suspected of having significant valvular heart disease,
peripheral arterial disease and hypertension. Comprehensive
cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries are performed when
necessary. |
